Devonshire Mine in Matlock Bath.
This adventure is like no other - explore standing, crawling, squeezing, scrambling through a rabbit warren of underground passages left by lead miners providing a good level of challenge for the whole family ages 5yrs upwards to enjoy.

Experience total darkness as we turn the lights out.
Climb through the vertical letter box amongst other challenges.
Don't Forget to remember the way out!!

All under 18s must be with a parent.

Itinerary
We kit you up in over suits, helmets with lights and wellys.
A 10 - 15min walk up a steep hill to find the Devonshire Mine entrance.
A full safety briefing before entering the mine before starting gently, getting used to the environment we begin to explore the many tunnels that gradually squeeze you and provide a good challenge to get through.
Some tighter sections are optional.
We provide information about the lead miners and cave formations as we go.
Once out of the mine its down hill back to the car park to de-kit.

All Safety equipment including helmets, lights, over suits. wellys if ordered when booking.
What you Need

Warm Clothing - its approx 8degrees underground.

Walking boots / wellys / old trainers.

Extra socks if using our wellys.

No toilets here - go before arriving.
Cancellations
For a 50% refund your booking can be cancelled 30 days prior to the activity scheduled start date. cancelling within 30 days of the activity start date will result in loss of all money paid. Alternate dates may be able to be agreed at no additional cost, but this is not guaranteed or possible in all situations. Being late, unable to park, booking an inappropriate activity, will result in the activity starting without you or not going ahead at all with the loss of all money paid. Gift Vouchers are non refundable ever. Should Peaks and Paddles need to cancel for any reason - full refund or alternative date or activity offered where possible.
